Book Blogger Hop and Follow Friday (9)

BBH is hosted by Crazy-For-Books and FF is hosted by Parajunkee.

follow friday

This week’s question is:

Q. Let's step away from besties...What is the worst book that you've ever read and actually finished?

A. That’s a really tough one. I’ve never actually finished a book I didn’t like, but the worst book I’ve ever read is probably Willow by Julia Hoban. Couldn’t Willow be any more self centered? I tortured myself through about 2/3 of the book before I decided to stop wasting my time.

This week’s question is:

Q. This week’s question isn’t a question at all! I thought I would do things a little differently this week and give all of you a chance to promote a giveaway (or two!) from the blogosphere.

The catch?

IT CAN’T BE YOUR OWN GIVEAWAY!

Gotcha!

You have to find another blogger who is having a giveaway and promote their giveaway for them! If possible, promote a giveaway from a blogger doing the Hop (hey, you are visiting other blogs anyway, right?). Have fun with this one! It’s not an easy task this week! :)

A. In lieu of my current Harry Potter obsession, and because hers was one of the first blogs I ever followed, I feel happy to promote Patricia’s Particularity’s Complete List of Harry Potter Celebration Giveaways.

To view information on her awesome giveaway of all the HP books AND Hogwarts House swag, click here.

She’s also having a giveaway on an ARC of Songbird. For details, click here.

that’s it for me! what book did you really torture yourself through? know about any good giveaways? let me know!

enjoy! -m

  1. New follower here! I wish I could stop reading bad books. It's usually about 2/3 of the way through that I realize I'm going to hate it, but once I get to that point, I figure I might as well finish it.

  6. Hi there, new follower here from the hop! Love your blog :)

I haven't read a lot that I didn't like lately too. As for Willow, I now have something to skip from adding to my TBR list. Happy Friday!

  7. Hi,

I'm a new follower hopping by to say hello. I haven't heard of that book but I hate characters that are self centred.

  11. I hate when I read a book and I can't stand the main character. Last book I read that I hated so much was The Golden Compass. I wanted the two kids to meet a very untimely death. Preferably in the beginnig. New follower. My Friday Follow is up at Coffee Table Reviews

  12. I sort-of the same way; not a lot of books are bad for me, but there are a few that I've read and haven't liked.

    New Follower, btw.

  13. I salute all the brave souls that soldier on to finish a bad book. I could never do that. I never have and I can’t imagine I ever will.

This week’s Follow Friday question is an excellent companion to last week’s Book Blogger Hop question.

Follow me back to my blog and read all about why I hardly ever start a bad book let alone finish one – http://www.howardsherman.net

Read both my Book Blogger Hop post last week and my Follow Friday post this week and you’ll get the bigger picture of how my mind works. Don’t say I didn’t warn you! [grin]

    Thank G-d It’s Follow Friday!
